31 year old Akharamen Ehizokhai has been arrested by the Edo state police command for hacking the West African Examinations council (WAEC) website and defrauding candidates of thousands of naira. Ehizokhai allegedly charged per subject and had been involved in the illicit deal for two years. On the internet, the suspect allegedly collected N5,000 per subject.
Some of the students who got in touch with the suspect were said to have been directed to pay into a bank account with the name Akharamen Ehizokhai Favour.
After much complaints from parents and candidates over the persistent fraudulent activities of the suspect, the Edo state police command sent a crack team to track him down. He was captured in Ekpoma. According to the Edo State Commissioner of Police, Funso Adebanjo, Ehizokhai had been in the business for years until he recently met his waterloo. He would soon be charged to court.
