Following his arrest last summer at Los Angeles International Airport 2 Chainz, an American hip hop recording artiste from College Park, Georgia has pleaded guilty to charges leveled against him of misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance in a case.
The 36-year-old rapper was arrested in June 2013 after airport officials reported finding ingredients for the cough-syrup-based concoction known as “sizzurp” in his checked baggage.
According to District attorney’s spokeswoman Jane Robison, Tauheed Epps a.k.a as 2 Chainz was sentenced to an 18-month drug diversion program on Monday, May 5, 2014 and a felony drug possession charge was dismissed.
“The misdemeanour charge will only be dropped if Epps successfully completes the program,” she added.
The rap artist has won various awards with his hits songs like “Birthday Song,” ”I’m Different” and “Feds Watching.”
